BA chooses Avis as sole supplier

Avis has signed a five-year, exclusive global partnership deal with British Airways.
 

The deal means Avis is the sole car rental provider for BA and is available on all of the airline's booking channels, including ba.com.

In addition, the two brands are launching a joint campaign, Be There Sooner, later this month. 

BA and Avis customers will benefit from an enhanced product offering, including year-round promotions and becoming members of Avis Preferred, which offers time-saving benefits such as priority services counters. BA Executive Club members will earn three BA Miles for every £1 spent on car rental.

Julia Kemp, director of partnerships and leisure for Avis Europe, said: ‘Avis is now the sole car rental provider for British Airways customers worldwide.

‘The new partnership reflects our commitment to the airline and our belief in their brand values and synchronisation with our service levels. The aim is simple; to make the travel process easier and quicker for our customers.’

Andrea Burchett, director, relationship marketing and insight for BA Miles, added: ‘Avis has delivered a fantastic service to our Executive Club members since 1998.

‘It was important to us that we extended this to all our customers worldwide and Avis had the capability, excellent service and the brand values to deliver that. 

‘The partnership seemed a natural fit for us and we know the benefits to our customers will be enormous.

'Based on just four vehicle rentals in a calendar year, you could boost your BA Miles balance by in excess of more than 10,000, which means you’ll get to your desired destination sooner.’
