The 300 extra redundancies follow about 500 managers who took voluntary redundancy and left in December. The latest tranche of staff to go will leave the airline in May.
Cabin crew union BASSA is locked in negotiations with BA bosses, who want to make £82m of cost cuts over the coming two years.
In January, BA warned more job cuts were expected as it predicted it would lose £150m for the year to 31 March 2009 and a similar amount in the current financial year.
A spokeswoman said: ‘All airlines have been hit by the worsening economic crisis and we need to improve productivity and performance across the airline.
‘The unions recognise the challenge and we have put together a lot of ideas and opportunities. We have not ruled anything in or out and talks are ongoing.’
BASSA, part of Unite, will have a meeting on Monday at Kempton Racecourse about the restructuring negotiations.
A Unite spokesman said: ‘There are no plans for a consultative ballot or a strike ballot yet. There is nothing to say until the talks are concluded.’
Separately, BA announced it is selling 11 of its 15 Boeing 757s for cargo conversion, with the aircraft leaving its mainline fleet between 2010-2012.
The B757s will be replaced in BA’s short-haul fleet by Airbus A320 family aircraft. Four B757s operated by its OpenSkies subsidiary will remain.
Robert Boyle, BA’s director of strategy and business units, said: ‘Replacing the Boeing 757s will give us both environmental and cost benefits.’
