Monster moves to TravelTainment system

03 Jul 2009
Online agent Monster Travel expects to boost sales when a new dynamic booking engine goes live next month.

The system, supplied by Amadeus-owned TravelTainment, will give customers more flexibility when researching their holiday options.

David Hawke, Monster managing director, said: ‘The technology we choose to deliver the holiday, including options, price, availability and booking, has a major impact on how our customers view our business.

‘TravelTainment is by far the fastest technology on the market and also provides a level of content and connectivity to book online that is not available elsewhere for package holidays.

‘We expect to see an upturn in booking levels following the launch.’

Colin Mckee, TravelTainment sales director, added: ‘TravelTainment is successfully working on increasing our UK customer base and we see Monster as an important addition that we hope will make a valuable contribution toward our product sales targets.

‘2009 is a big year for us as we grow our UK market share. However, we are predicting that 2010 will be even bigger, given that we have new product in development that will raise the bar further with regard to overall booking functionality and features.’
