Bookings for the ship, which will join the fleet in April 2010 under the name
Thomson Dream, can be made from 16 July, when a standalone brochure will go on sale.
The 1,500-passenger
Thomson Dream will operate out of Palma, offering three- and seven-night itineraries.
Under the agreement with Costa, Thomson has an option to purchase the ship after five years.
Thomson director of cruising David Selby said: ‘This latest addition to the fleet reinforces the importance of the cruise market to Thomson and our commitment to its growth.’
‘
Thomson Dream will allow us to satisfy an even wider audience, attracting new customers as well as introducing a new option for our many loyal followers.’
Thomson Dream will be the most upmarket in the Thomson fleet, which includes
Thomson Celebration,
Thomson Spirit and
Thomson Destiny.
Prices for the new ship will start at £729 per person.
