Travel Buddy adds Monarch

15 Dec 2009
Monarch has become the latest company to sign up to the Travel Buddy mobile information system.

Customers booking Monarch flights can now buy a selection of services, called Monarch Mobile, tailored to their specific destination and travel plans, including flight alerts and destination content.

Three Monarch Mobile packages are available.

Mini-mobile gives flight-related messages on the day of departure and costs £2; Maxi-mobile costs £3 and gives travel tips, emergency numbers, weather and destination information as well as flight-related messages on departure day; while My-mobile enables the customer to store information and create their own itinerary, costing £4.

Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch Flights and Holidays, said: ‘Monarch is committed to providing an exemplary level of care and service to all its customers, right from the first time a customer makes contact with us through until their travel is complete.

‘Throughout a customer's experience with Monarch we aim to maintain contact with them and make their journey as seamless as possible.

‘The addition of Monarch Mobile will assist us in doing this and will enable us to contact customers with relevant, tailored communications at appropriate times throughout their journey.’
