Stena Line opens up the market

Stena Line is to allow bookings for other ferry companies on its website.

The operator has signed up with ferry portal Aferry.co.uk, to allow visitors to its stenaline.co.uk site to make bookings on non-Stena Line operated routes.

This amounts to more than 1,100 routes and 75 different ferry companies from all over Europe.

James-Howe Davies, chief executive of The Travel Gateway, which owns Aferry.co.uk, said: ‘As one of the leading players in the European ferry industry, Stena Line has shown real vision and business acumen with this initiative and the partnership signifies confidence in its place and reputation within the wider ferry industry.’

Orla Noonan, head of marketing at Stena Line said: ‘As one of Europe’s leading ferry companies, our aim is to always improve our service.

‘The partnership with Aferry.co.uk will provide Stena Line customers with an even greater choice of routes when it comes to planning their trip – all in just one search.’
