Saga’s travel chief executive Susan Hooper is leaving the over-50s specialist in order to take up another senior role.
She will be replaced by Andrew Strong, currently chief executive at fellow Acromas brand, the AA. Strong used to head Saga Insurance.
Formerly Royal Caribbean Cruise Line European boss, Hooper took charge of the travel division of Saga Group after she was headhunted in 2009.
Saga Group merged with the AA, the UK motorists’ association, in 2007, and is now part of Acromas Holdings, which also includes Titan Travel.
Hooper has decided to pursue another opportunity and will be leaving the group at the end of November.
As reported in e-tid.com’s The Weekend Update this morning, Saga is set to press the button on a bumper stock market float, according to The Sunday Times.
Its owner, Acromas, has interviewed 10 investment banks about handling the share sale, and the company is expected to be valued as high as £3bn.
